Neighborhood Butcher: Mark Frazie

MARK FRAZIE | "The Good Butcher"

Neighborhood butcher and founder of Frazie's Meat and Market, a renowned fresh meat market in Atlanta.

A LETTER FROM MARK FRAZIE

Hello from your local neighborhood butcher!

January 2026

By Mark Frazie

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Mark Frazie, owner of Frazie’s Meat & Market, and just as importantly your neighbor. I don’t just work here in Riverside and the Upper Westside…I live here, shop here, and am proud to be part of one of the greatest communities in all of Atlanta. When I opened Frazie’s Meat & Market, my goal was to establish a fresh meat market that brings the freshest, cleanest, highest-quality meat and local goods directly to the families of our neighborhood. I wanted to create a place that feels familiar the moment you walk in, a true local butcher shop, something many of us grew up with but rarely find today.

Every day, we work to honor that mission. From our fresh-cut butcher case to our hyper-local Georgia-grown marketplace, and our curated wine and beer selection, everything we offer is chosen with intention. We partner with farmers, makers, and producers who share our belief that good food starts with good people. That’s why our motto is “From Farm to Family,” because we believe you should know and trust where your food comes from.

As this new magazine launches, I’m excited to welcome new neighbors who may be discovering our Atlanta butcher shop for the first time. I can’t wait to meet you, hear your stories, and help you choose the perfect cut for your next meal. And to all our longtime customers and friends, thank you for supporting a small, local, family-run business. You’re the heart of what we do.

So next time you’re in the shop, please don’t hesitate to say hello. I’m always happy to talk about meat, recipes, farms, or simply life in our incredible neighborhood.

See you soon,

Mark Frazie
